This Privacy Policy describes how TryOra ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects personal information when merchants install our Shopify application ("the App") or when customers ("shoppers") interact with the TryOra virtual try-on widget on merchant storefronts.
Key Summary: We collect uploaded photos strictly to process AI virtual try-ons. We do not sell user data, nor do we use uploaded customer images for facial recognition tracking or advertising targeting purposes.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information from Merchants
When a merchant installs the App via Shopify, we automatically access certain information from your Shopify store account:
Shopify domain name and myshopify.com URL
Store admin email and primary owner contact details
Installed theme metadata and relevant product catalog details (titles, handle, prices, and images)
Shopify API Access Tokens required to provide app functionality
B. Information from Customers (Shoppers)
When a shopper interacts with the TryOra widget on a merchant's store, we may process:
Uploaded Images: Photos uploaded by shoppers or selected avatars used for virtual fitting room simulation.
Saved Fitting Room Looks: Previews of generated try-on images saved by the customer.
Shopify Customer ID & Email: (Only if customer login is required/enabled by the merchant).
Technical Data: Browser type, screen dimensions, IP address, and anonymized session identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data exclusively to operate and improve the App services:
To generate AI virtual fitting room previews based on customer-uploaded photos and product apparel images.
To maintain customer fitting room history, saved looks, and custom avatars.
To provide store merchants with aggregate analytics (e.g., total try-on counts and conversion rate insights).
To enforce plan limits, billing, and credit usage.
To ensure technical performance, system stability, and secure operations.
3. Image Data & Facial Processing Transparency
We take photo privacy seriously:
Customer photos are processed solely for the purpose of mapping garment images to body contours during active try-on requests.
Photos are never used for biometric identification, facial recognition tracking, or cross-site user profiling.
Merchants may configure automatic image deletion options within the TryOra settings panel.
4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data or images to third parties or advertisers. Data is shared strictly with trusted infrastructure providers required to deliver app services:
Cloud Infrastructure & AI APIs: Secure cloud servers for encrypted image rendering and data hosting.
Shopify Platform: Data exchanged securely with Shopify APIs in compliance with Shopify Partner Terms.
5. GDPR & Compliance Data Rights
In full compliance with European Data Protection Laws (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users and merchants have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of their personal data.
Customer Data Request (customers/data_request): Upon request, we output all stored customer session data and saved looks.
Customer Data Erasure (customers/redact): We automatically delete customer records, uploaded photos, and saved looks upon receiving a redact request.
Shop Data Redaction (shop/redact): Within 48 hours of app uninstallation, all store configuration and merchant data are permanently purged.
6. Data Security & Storage
We employ industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmissions and secure cloud storage access controls, to safeguard personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
